Growing up in Hackney and watching it become one of London’s go-to food spots has been something special. To now be part of that, first with Peck Peck and now with Hendl in collaboration with Hackney Church Brew Co, genuinely means a lot to us.
After five years of Peck Peck, we wanted to build something that reflects the simplicity and craft behind how we cook. Hendl is that next step. A concept focused entirely on rotisserie.
Juicy chickens turning on the spit, porchetta roasting, proper Sunday roasts. Nothing overcomplicated. Just quality ingredients, proper technique, and food done the way it should be.
Everything comes back to keeping things simple and doing it properly. Generous portions, a space that feels right when you walk in, and an atmosphere you actually want to stay in.
Warm rotisserie coming off the spit, cold beer always within reach, and music setting the tone.
